At EyeCue Lab, Graham designed CBA, BD Biosciences’ desktop software for analyzing Cytometric Bead Array experiments in flow cytometry. It turns a set of standard and sample files into results in six steps, laid out as tabs across the top of the window.
First come the files: the standards, with their concentrations, and the samples, dragged between the two lists. Then a bead kit, chosen from BD’s catalog or built as a template of analytes. Then the bead population, gated on a scatter plot, and each bead, gated on a histogram and matched to its analyte. Then the standards, fitted with a regression, and last the reports, by analyte, sample or replicate, ready to export. He also designed the screens around them, from sign-in and a start screen of recent experiments to alerts, errors and toasts.
For the app itself he made the icon, a bead ringed with antibodies in BD’s template for product icons, as well as the splash screen and the installer window, marked © 2021 BD and EyeCue Lab.
