At EyeCue Lab, Graham designed the search for Navidok, a service for finding a dock for a ship: a list of docks beside a map, on the desktop.
Across the top sit the ship’s location, its dates and the vessel: here, a Panamax container ship off Astoria, Oregon, from September 17 to November 24. The ship’s position can be placed on the map or typed in as coordinates. Filters on the left choose the services it needs (an oil change, an inspection, an engine overhaul, electronics and ignition, a water pump), star ratings, the number of reviews and the languages spoken. Five docks and shipyards come back as cards, each with a photo, stars and reviews, its coordinates, its distance in nautical miles and how many of the needed services it offers, from all of them down to 60 percent. On the map, dotted routes run from the ship to each one. Tick two, and one button requests quotes from both.
