In March 2014 Graham made a series of print concepts for the World Science Festival, held in New York City from May 28 to June 1 that year. Each one sets a photograph on black, with a headline at the top and the festival’s dates, sponsors and red logo along the bottom.
A first set tried a dozen photographs under placeholder text, from a Tesla coil and a cluster of pendulums to a pocket watch in a glass globe. The final set used three, a cracked egg sprouting greens, a double helix of green stems and a test tube pouring a smoking liquid over chocolate, and gave them headlines with a wink: Head over helix, science is fun again for the first time, with again struck out; Veggies are scientists too; Nerds. This one’s for you.
